On 27th of May 2014 a consecration of tunnel “Predejane”, Republic of Serbia took place.

Highway E 75 connects Belgrade - Nish – Thessaloniki, the tunnel is placed between the town of Leskovac and the town of Vladichin Han. Contractor of the project is Koridori Srbije DOO, Engineer is EPTISA _ GEOCONSULT JV, the project is financed by the European investment bank (EIB).
Tunnel “Predejane” has two tunnel tubes with length: left tube – 870 m, right tube – 1075 m and cross section of 105 m2. The tunnel is being constructed after the New Austrian Tunneling Method /NATM/ with average daily advantage of the breakthrough and the inner lining of 5 meters per 24 hours. The construction period is 900 days. The volume of the excavation is about 175 000 m3.

The project was designed by the Design organization SIP with chief designer Yasmina Kostich. The design complies with all contemporary European regulations and meets the newest technological and ecological requirements.

The embedding of the icon of “St. John of Rila” in the tunnel entrance is a traditional ritual of the tunneling company “Euro Alliance”.

Representatives of all government and local authorities attended on the ceremony, as well as citizens of the nearby municipalities.

Regarding the natural disaster which hit the Republic of Serbia – the flood in the central and western part of the country, donations were made by “Euro Alliance” and readiness to provide heavy machinery when necessary.
