After four months our workers completed the installation of the secondary lining at Burgbergtunnel in Erlangen, Germany.
The finished secondary lining has a thickness of 40 cm, except in the portal areas, where 60 cm were installed. The lining was divided into parts, with lengths between 6 m and 12,5 m. After exact placing and preparing of the formwork, the concrete was filled and hardened, until the next step with the following section. In total 26 blocks were installed using 4.680 m3 concrete until the whole tunnel length was driven through.
After excavation and preliminary reinforcement works executed by our company also the secondary lining structure was finished in time and without claims by our contractor.
