On September 22nd, the experts of Euro Alliance Tunnels started the excavation of construction shafts in Stuttgart, Germany. Initially two shafts will be excavated - shaft Ehmannstraße and shaft Nordbahnhofstraße. Both are appx. 11 m deep, with diameter appx. 6 m. After the excavation of the spoil the strengthening will follow with steel fabrics, SN-bolts B500B and shotcrete surfacing. The foot level consists of geotextile, drainage and shotcrete.
The shafts will be used as access points for the construction of tunnel Bad Cannstatt in the city of Stuttgart. The narrow condition sites make demands on logistics and coordination of operating processes of all participants.
